!n 2007, the two long-time mates Flo and Simon brought their first music project to life called rausch&metrik. After a few months of searching for a common ground, they found a mutual musical base in deep and dark Techno. Their productions are remarkably influenced by underground parties, the varied club scene in Hamburg and also by many techno and electronic events like the Fusion Festival, Nation of Gondwana, or even the Indian Spirit Festival. By combining their different production skills in perfect harmony, they found the key to develope a very own style, which makes them now well known in Hamburg. Soon after founding rausch&metrik, they decided to create special kinds of sets by using only self made music. SINUS 001 - AUSGANG UNKLAR CHARITY COMPILATION
The time has finally come, for months we have held tight and secretly tinkered with the Big Bang. The cat should be out of the bag - we'll make it very brief We follow the intention to bring not only music to Hamburg but also music into the world and we proudly present SINUS as a record label. We start with a charity-compilation for our friends from Unklar in Lübeck, all of the proceeds will go to this important, subcultural institution. The first Sinus compilation features music by Ben Champell, Calm Chor, Chaostrail, Florian Kötter, Insect Elektrika, Reduzida, Samwise, Surreal & his fellow Erhardt Schuster and last, but not least, the Badgers. Musically varied, absolutely no facet of the Sinus-typical blend of minimal, techno, psy-tech and minimal house is missing. We are happy about every single contribution of the people we have grown dear to, no matter in which corner of our crazy world they may be. We love all of you! The release date is August 31, 2020, the compilation will only be available through Bandcamp.
SR002 - DINESH Mind Trickster EP
Hello friends! We are happy to present you today the debut EP “Mind Trickster” from our friend Dinesh from the former pirate island Mauritius. The EP contains three extraordinary original tracks, rounded off through remixes of Reverse Osmosis from India and Sinus Recordings labelhead Reduzida. Dineshs sound can be described as hypnotic, twisted, tribal, melancholic, sometimes even dramatic, progressive techno with a twist of psychedelic elements, inspired by the great outdoors and the underground vibes. Since the choice to become performer, he has been having great chances playing in Melbourne, then travelled back to Mauritius where he stayed a few years while absorbing a lot of the local energy in a new perspective which became a major motivation for his musical purpose. Now living in Berlin since 7 years, this amazing city is where he is pursuing his journey, taking things step by step, getting ready for the next chapter of his musical and personal mission.
